Yesterday morning I went to Nottingham Castle to see the grounds. I thought it would look lovely with all the snow fall we’ve had lately…
and I was right! It was gorgeous…
In the evening I went to have Christmas dinner at my friend’s house, there were 15 of us. It was amazing! This is the second year we have celebrated Christmas together so it is now officially a tradition! We had a huge amount of Christmas dinner, followed by an equally huge amount of dessert!
Then we got out the dirty pictionary game out that we used last year….it was hilarious! Drawings were made of the most crude and disgusting things you can think of, but the guesses shouted out were particularly brilliant! Ranging from ‘over trumped’ and ‘spunk up trumps’ instead of ‘come up trumps’.
I we all had an amazing time and are very much looking forward to next years Christmas gathering already! But before that I still have Christmas dinner with my old school friends and the work Christmas party and then of course…actual Christmas dinner! This December is particularly busy…and I love it!
This month had a pretty rocky start, my dad almost passed away. Everything is fine now but I was crushed, couldn’t work but didn’t want to just sit around doing nothing. I wanted something to take my mind off of it, but nothing worked. Sometimes I still can’t stop thinking about it. I was getting so emotional that I was taking it out on my boyfriend and close friends and was so afraid I was pushing them away. But I am very lucky and have the most amazingly stong boyfriend, he was there for me but also gave me the space I needed to get my head around what had happened, and now I feel a lot stronger.
It still gets me down, but I just try to think about the good things…my job, my boyfriend, my amazing friends and family.
